Secure Electronic Notarization

Sign. Notarize. Verify.

Legal. Secure. Verified.

Notarize documents with a commissioned Philippine Electronic Notary Public, without leaving your desk. Built to the Supreme Court’s Rules on Electronic Notarization.

Signing is free and needs no account. Notarizing needs one, and a one-time identity check — a notarial act requires the notary to know who you are.

How a notarization works

Upload your document

A PDF, scanned for malware and fingerprinted with a SHA-256 hash the moment it arrives.

Prove who you are

A one-time identity check against your government-issued ID, with a liveness scan.

Sign on the call

You sign on screen while a commissioned notary watches, on a session that is recorded.

Sealed by a notary

The notary applies their digital signature and electronic notarial seal, and enters the act in their register.

Verifiable forever

Anyone can scan the code to confirm the document has not changed by a single character.

Three things you can do

One account covers all three. A notary is only involved in the acts that legally require one.

SIGN

Sign a document

Send an agreement out for electronic signature — no account needed, on either side. Valid under R.A. 8792, with a tamper-evident record of who signed, when, and exactly which file.

Send a document for signature in about a minute

Upload a PDF, name who has to sign it, and send. They sign in their browser — no account, no software. You get the signed file back with a record of who signed, when, from where, and the fingerprint of the exact document they saw.

Three documents a month without an account, ten with one. We keep each document for seven days and then delete our copy — the signatures and the record of them are kept. This is an electronic signature under R.A. 8792, not notarization: no notary is involved. If the document needs one, you can send it on to a commissioned notary without uploading it again.

Why it holds up

Four properties that let a document stand on its own, years after it was signed.

Legal

Notarial acts are performed by Supreme Court–commissioned lawyers. e-Selyo is the facility; the notary holds the authority.

  • R.A. 8792 (2000)Gives electronic documents and signatures the same legal effect as handwritten ones, where integrity and reliability can be shown. It is why a signature applied here binds you at all, rather than being a picture of one.
  • A.M. No. 22-10-17-SCThe Supreme Court rules permitting a notary to perform a notarial act with you over live video rather than in person. They set what the notary must see and satisfy themselves of first, which is why a session runs the way it does.

Secure

Encrypted document storage, multi-factor authentication for every notary, and screening that blocks anonymising networks before a session begins.

  • Encryption at restDocuments are encrypted on the storage itself, not only while crossing the network.A stolen disk or backup yields unreadable data rather than your private papers.
  • R.A. 10173 (2012)Governs how personal data is collected and kept, including your government ID and the biometrics from your identity check. We must tell you what is collected before collecting it, keep it only as long as the law requires, and honour your rights over it.

Trusted

Every state change is written to an append-only, cryptographically hash-chained audit trail.

  • Cryptographic hashA value calculated from your file's contents. The same file always produces the same value; two different files effectively never do.Anyone can confirm, years later, that a document is the exact file that was notarized, down to a comma.
  • Tamper-evident trailEach event in a document's history is stored with the fingerprint of the event before it, forming a chain that can only be added to.Changing any past entry breaks every entry after it. Interference is not just prohibited, it is visible.

Digital

Built for the ten-year retention the rules require, with every sealed document carrying a fingerprint that can be re-checked later.

  • Inclusion proofA compact proof that your document forms part of the wider record, revealing nothing about the other documents in it.One person's verification never requires anyone else's records to be opened.
  • A.M. No. 24-10-14-SCWhat a facility hosting remote notarial sessions must provide: identity checks, session recording, tamper-evident records, long-term retention. The standard e-Selyo is built against. Authority to notarize rests with the notary, never the platform.

e-Selyo is built to the Supreme Court’s requirements for Electronic Notarization Facility providers. Notarial authority rests with the commissioned notary who performs the act, not with the platform.
